Area Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.
Cars, building surfaces and postboxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a release.
Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish substance.
The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Police then discovered numerous other vandalized cars and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.
Law enforcement report early analysis indicate the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to its origin; authorities are not yet aware of any harm in connection with the occurrence," they commented.
Local authorities said they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for tips.
An important official stated the attack left him speechless and required to be resolved rapidly.
"This incident strikes at the core of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on online, referring to the killing of nine victims by a assailant targeting residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
